for the #2 cylinder misfire. you need to check spark to that plug with a spark plug tester.sold at auto stores. check out Erics video on no spark.

I’m also going to give you the power balance test. good luck and keep us posted. C8-) once you fix the electrical issue clear the codes
and see if anything comes back. The other code might be bogus.

there is also a way to test the wire to see if it is blown, as soon as i get home i will post a link on how to check. all you need is a voltmeter like the ones found at home depot.

P1399 Manufacturer Control, Ignition System or misfire.

I would start with the above posted video’s by College Man. There is also a few other tests that may aid in your diagnosis.

Here is a link to the compression test video –

The power balance test is an excellent suggestion and a great place to start to indeed confirm that there is a problem with cylinder #2. If you suspect faulty wires a good check for that is in this video.

I think it’s also important to note that Honda’s don’t like aftermarket ignition parts and to be honest the OE wire set lasts just about forever and I NEVER replace them unless I can confirm that there is an issue so if you have aftermarket wires and find them leaking I would recommend replacing them with an OE set and I’m sure it will be the last set of wires you ever buy. That said it’s also important to use NGK or Nippon Denso plugs, the cap and rotor are less critical but if you go aftermarket then I would strongly recommend using quality parts and if you can get your hands on them OE parts.
