2000 Honda Civic EX spark plug wire terminal

      Well I recently changed my valve cover gasket and tube seals. I wanted to be sure that the tubes weren’t leaking so I pulled the number 1 spark plug wire out and inspected the end. I noticed it was not leaking but when I looked into the spark plug tube I noticed the terminal was still stuck to the plug. I re-inserted it and started the car. It ran and revved fine but I was reading that if I drive it too long on this it’s bad for the coil.

      These are I am assuming OEM wires and only 90k on them. What are your thoughts? Do I need to buy new wires? Or should I just try to buy 1?

        So I put my NGK wires on and for the sake of learning I decided to look at the terminals. I put a flashlight down the tubes and boy. Those look like they have more thought and care put into one terminal pin than my last set had in all 4 wires. I did investigate what happened to the pin on that cheap wire. It just seems like it was a cheap, crap design.

        So this should prevent me from ever having problems with them in the foreseeable future?
