Just now as I was leaving the library to go home, I went to start my car and as usual with the heat and the recent driving, the car fail to crank. Since I know how my car acts, I held the key at the start position knowing that it will start a second later. It didn’t. When I release the key, I saw the Check Engine Light was on. I started my car again and it came to life. I went straight home, whipped out my OBD II Scanner and pulled up P1359 DTC Definition Not Found. I’m leaving for a cruise tomorrow and I need to know if I can use my car tomorrow and when I return next week? (FYI: No mechanic experience. You have to explain everything in order for me to understand)

P1359 relates to the Crankshaft Position Sensor or TDC sensor. However this will not prevent the engine from cranking.
It depends on your ability and the tools you have. It’s located behind the timing cover and crankshaft pulley.
I would check the sensor is in place and the wiring is
not rubbed out anywhere. check the connector is plugged
in.Has any work been done lately?There was one major work and that was changing the timing belt. Other than that, nothing else has been done.
I don’t know where the sensor is located. If you can tell me where it is, I can check it.

Its not all that easy to get to. If you didn’t have that light before they did the work, I would take it back to them. It is possible the could have damaged the sensor.
If that was the case, I would have taken it back to them but the timing belt job was done in March and the light show up three months later
Check with the place the changed the belt. Not sure what kinda warranty they provide but it can’t hurt to ask.
I haven’t went the place that did my belts but I just noticed that the engine check light is off. Could it be possible that the problem fixed itself?
