2000 Dodge Stratus

Hello. I have a 2000 dodge stratus. The front left wheel, while moving only, makes a horrible grinding noise. It is not the brakes. Would this possibly be the wheel bearings or the axle? The car has 176,000 miles on it. Thanks. If not those two things, what do you think it would be?
