      What is the purpose and function of the filter located next to the evap charcoal canister on my 2000 civic?? Trying to better understand the evap system due to a reoccurring p1457 code.

        Just to filter air, keep dirt out of the evap system when it vents. If it’s clogged the pressure won’t release and cause codes
