I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 5.3l V8. The blower motor works but there is almost no air coming out of the vents. There is no cabin air filter for my truck. I have removed the blower motor and the fan is tight and spins fast. I think the vents might be clogged but I am not sure how to check them.

It’s should be clogged if you have no filter install. You might buy a scope camera (97 us$) to see exactly where the debris are and an another tool to push Its to the blowers motor. You can remove the plastic from the vent.

Does your truck have A/C.and does it work? Could be a leak in the evaporater core that has collected dirt in the leaking A/C oil. That will block the airflow.

Your owners manual should tell you if you have a cabin
filter and how to change it.

It does have AC and it is ice cold just not enough flow coming out of the vents.

Always good to verify our own hypothesis even after a eye check before process any other hypothesis and even repair.

Do you have any idea of why the vents may be clogged (I.E. sitting a long time and animals found homes in there)…. I ask this because I have found nests and snakeskins in the weirdest places in cars….

I wonder if your climate control doors are not opening properly or all the way… I believe the Silverado climate control system is vacuum controlled…. a bad/leaking line might keep a door from opening completely (or at all) and you getting your cold air….

                  JMHO…
