I’m getting a rattling/rubbing sort of noise from the front end of my Acura. It occurs when in gear, especially uphill or when getting up to speed and goes away as soon as I push the clutch or let off the gas. Also it seems to be worse when I hit bumps.
2000 Acura 1.6EL
D16Y8 engine
5 speed manual transmission

I recently switched my tires to all-seasons, replaced brake pads and spark plugs. Also did an oil/filter change.
I’m not sure if it’s related, but the CEL came on a little while ago with the code P0420, it seems to have less power than it used to.

The p0420 is definitely a likely candidate for why you’re experiencing a loss of power.
As for the noise, I have no idea. Start by thinking about what changes when the clutch pedal is depressed and the clutch is disengaged. Maybe you have a squeaky mount somewhere, or a piece of the interior is coming loose and squeaking?

I think that the noise is the rear engine mount, need to look into it further still though.
I just bought a better scanner, here’s a spreadsheet I made with the readings on a short drive I logged.
