at work i had a 2L ford focus to service i looked in the service book and it uses euro trash oil(can’t remember exact oil specs) and it has the exact same engine as a mazda 3 which uses 10w30 mineral oil why are there 2 oil grades for the same engine as far as i know 0 internal differences between the engines

It may be oil availability or climate.Just like north American vehicles

It may be oil availability or climate.Just like north American vehicles
