I have, as stated, a 1999 sunfire gt with the 2.4 DOHC engine. a couple weeks ago my fuel pump went out so i had the pump and filter replaced along with some fuel lines because of rust. it was all working just fine until this morning when i go to start my car and i dont hear the pump kicking on. i have checked the fuse and relay and they are both good and the pump is only a week old! before i got the pump replaced it use to act like it would stall out while i was driving and it hadnt done that since i got the new pump. i dont know what else could be wrong with it…any ideas?

I too had to install a fuel pump on my cavalier, the pump was running when I got it as I benched tested it and after I put it in it didn’t work despite everything being fine! Had to do the job again and get a replacement. Now it works fine but it was a pain in the ass!
