The brake switch on my 1999 pathfinder went bad and drain the battery. I took the ground off to keep from killing the battery complete. But when i went to charge the battery I did not put the ground back on .When went to start the car the it would not turn over, The only thing you hear are clicks of the relays, i tried to jump start it and another battery. What could be wrong? Ps when brake switch went bad it made the brake lights stay on. thanks for the help

        From your description ..
Sounds like either a faulty battery:
Suggest you have it load tested to see what condition it is in.
        Or perhaps a bad connection:
Check to see that both positive and negative connections on the battery and engine are clean and secure.

Since you tried another battery and jump starting it, do the lights dim when you turn the key? Does everything else work? As nightflyr suggested, make sure all connections are tight and clean.

Did you replace the brake light switch before this happened, or is the bad one still in there? I don’t see any way this could interfere with the starting circuit, but one never knows.

Here is the FSM section for the start system.

There is a wiring diagram in there that may help you chase it down with a DVOM.
