Hey guys,
It’s been a long tme since being here… Life is a barrel of monkeys.
So to make this sweet and simple here it isCurrently I am trying to find out how or what is causeing some engine and or transmission trouble on my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS ralley edt. automatic
He are the issues.
1 While going from a dead stop while the car is in first gear. is has no power and or wants to suck start a shotgun..IE stall out. it also dose this in reverse, and sometimes in idle.
i have had the transmission looked at, It has 35k miles on the trans.
Also i have een really good on my P.M.C.S.
I have cleaned out the cold are intake system. and changges out my valve seal, transmission fluid. oil.. you name it…
Now when i get all billy bad A** with the car and mash it to the floor, it gets it out of the funk…
so could this be some sort of Air flow or fuel system problem?? I am clueless at this point..sorry for the spelling and grammar and stuff. typeing this from my phone.

and after urther inspection today. i noticed that the throttle plate is kinda dirty and stuff. so i am going to clean it up and clean up my MAF with MAF cleaner.. fingers crossedok after cleaning the throtle plate and the MAF sencoir from all the gunt… we found that the EGR vacume line from the EGR to the air intake manifold was split in half…now its fixed. the car runs a little better now smoother idle.
But we are still haveing a stalling/ sputtering issue,
i am super clueless now. and i called some shop’s to see how much they would charge to (look) a the car and they all want around 250..
Guys i am lost here. the fuel system is good the air system is good exhaust is good.
plugs, oil, trans, ect are all good.ther must be something i a overlooking..

Have you checked fuel pressure? Check that the egr is
not stuck open or the diaphragm is not bad. this can cause
a vacuum leak. Will the car idle normal on its own?
