      Hello,
I had the front of my prelude jacked up on stilts for about 4 months. I finally got around to doing some work on it today. When I started it, in a matter of 2 minutes there was a massive oil puddle underneath the driver side of the car. See video. http://youtu.be/O5jC6MjG88Y
I had the timing belt down about 5 months ago and I drove it for a day without any issues. Any idea as to what in the world is the cause of this?

This may be too obvious, but you seem to have a missing sump bolt.

Lol. Yeah. Looks like you either forgot to put the drain plug back in or the filter is double gasketed. We’ve all done it.

Just like it was stated above I would check the filter and see if the bolt is tight. If everything is good I’m gonna say your oil cooler o ring has failed.

Take a look at the 41 second video below and tell me if you guys think it is the balance shaft seal. http://youtu.be/OxHw8Yd9Z-M

If that’s the highest point that the oil is coming from, than it would be a front main seal. You’re going to have to pull the timing cover, replace the seal, clean-up the entire area (timing belt can not get oil on it), and replace the timing belt. The oil can make the belt skip a tooth and will deteriorate the belt. It needs to be replaced.

A front main seal? do you mean the balancer shaft seal in the timing belt case?

No. You see the oil coming out f the timing cover (or balancer shaft seal) but oil shouldn’t be present behind that seal. That seal is not designed to hold oil. The reason oil is coming out of there is because the front main seal (on the crank) has blown.
FYI: from what I remember, the balancer shaf is inside the engine completely. What you’re lookng at is the crank pulley with the balancer on it. These are two different things.
