I just bought a 99 Ford Taurus SE 3.0 DOHC with automatic temperature climate control. When I got it the cold/hot blend door was stuck on hot and wouldn’t cool with the a/c on. I removed the blend door actuator. The door moves freely from hot to cold and you can feel the temperature difference out of the vents moving the blend door manually by hand. I bought a new actuator, which came out of the box with the control in the cold position. Installed it. Now it blows cold air but won’t move to hot when turning the temp all the way up. I removed the actuator, plugged it up and turned the temp up and down while looking at the control peg in the actuator. It doesn’t rotate at all even when it’s uninstalled from the blend door. Anyone have any suggestions, or would it be best to have someone with a high tech scan tool to check it out? Thank you for any input.
