I went out this morning and could not get my CRV into reverse. However, when it is running it will just go into first gear that is all. If I turn the car off and wait for about five minutes it will go into all the gears. I do not have a transmission fluid leak, but I believe I might have a slight master cylinder leak. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance for your courtesies in this regard.

Thank you college man. I had actually read that and concluded that it would probably be the master cylinder. Just wanted to make sure, I was reading the same information you all would point me to. Also, taking Eric’s advice with changing master cylinder, slave cylinder, and also going with actual Honda parts.
Just finished the repair. It was the master cylinder and slave cylinder that I replaced. Just took the CRV out and it worked. Now the only thing that had me confused was I still had great peddle pressure and the reservoir was still full. However, the master was leaking as you see in the photo. The job took me 2 hrs and 11min (yes I timed myself) it would have been faster, but my pin was different as you see in the photo.
I’d like to say thank you to college man for your help. I’m sure your probably thinking I just gave you 2 links, but it was the same links I thought, so it was a confidence builder. Lastly, thank you Eric for this great web site. You give yard birds like me the help needed to get the job done and then we are able to give information about the repair from our DYI perspective in hopes it helps someone else out.
