The infamous AC vibration has finally hit my CRV. When the car is sitting at a light without the AC on you can hardly feel it idling, if you feel it at all. It used to be that when the AC kicked on and you would feel just a slight vibration. The vibration is becoming stronger now.

It just recently had a tuneup where’s the Rotor, cap, wires, and spark plugs were all replaced. I have cleaned the throttlebody and the idle air control valve. As a sidenote this model does not have a fast idle control valve. Any advice on what I might do to fix that problem? Thanking you in advance for your courtesies in this regard.

Either the engine/transmission mounts are getting weak or you have an A/C hose or line that is touching the body somewhere. It’s not uncommon for clips and or line brackets to get broken or out of place in an older vehicle.

The higher the high side pressure is the harder a time the A/C compressor has to work. Be sure the condenser is clean and free from debris and that the cooling fans are both working.

All of the clips looked fine however the lower AC bracket did seem to be a little off nothing much I will work on it in the morning. However, how do you see if motor mounts are getting week.

This is what I have done and it seems to have helped. My finger is pointing at rubber tabs to help absorb the vibration. On the upper and lower hose clamp I moved it to the right to go over new rubber and that seemed to help with the hose vibration.

The vibration has decreased quite a bit, however, it still vibrates. I ordered motor mounts from Honda hopefully I will be able to install them this weekend. Is there any tightening sequence I need to follow when installing these mounts, or can I just impact them in?

Got the new transmission motor mount on followed the tightening sequence and it run smoother now than it ever has. I can see the rear motor mount is broken. However, I do not know how to tighten it in it’s tighting sequence with a torque wrench it seems too tight of an area to fit a torque wrench. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
