Hey guys,
Welp, got my first CEL since I’ve owned this car (about 2 years now), with about 141K miles on it.
Two weeks ago I finally changed the Plugs & Wires (all NGK), and changed the oil.
Yesterday the CEL popped up, so I plugged in my Scanner and got the following two codes:
P0171 – System too lean (Bank 1)
P1130 – Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Circuit Range / Performance Malfunction Bank 1 Sensor 1Yesterday after clearing the codes and driving to work, I put the scanner back on and observed a LTFT of around 15% at 2500rpm (engine hot, no load). Not sure what nominal is, but additionally, it was around 94 degrees F outside yesterday all day. I can say that the fuel filter is probably original, as is the Bank 1 A/F sensor.
Checked for vacuum leaks with Carb cleaner, found none. It was suggested that I change out the sensor, and clean my battery terminals and the grounds.
Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome.
