Been working on a Saturn 1998, won;t start. Battery is fine, cables are good, next to check out clutch safety switch. Looked ok, harness ok wires all ok but i went ahead and replaced it, only $6.00. Nothing changed, . I can push start the car that’s fine. Will check out the starter next but there had not been any issues with the starter before, also there is no click or anything. should i bypass the neutral switch,. (cut and splice the wires or run a wire into the harness and loop it over?) Please respond with any suggestions!

A wiring diagram will be needed. There must be a starter relay.
        also check the starter fuse.

Here’s a video that I did on testing starter circuits that may be of use. I’m also going to link an article I wrote on solving no start conditions.

Thanks ETCG for responding. I watched the video and will be checking out the Saturn tomorrow. We have had terrible weather in NC the last couple of weeks so I have had to put it off.

OK It was the starter. changed it out and it’s running fine. Thanks ETCG for responding. Got sidetracked on the clutch safety switch. That’s one bad thing about the internet when some of these customers go online to an open forum and see every kind of possible issue out there. They become overnight experts and really can distract you!!
