Hi guys!
Im a mechanic from the uk. I have a 1998 Honda Prelude and i have noticed the speedo is exactly +10mph all the way through the range i.e 20=30, 30=40, 40=50 and so on. the car is completely standard and only covered 30k (has been sat in an old boys garage for years due to ill health)alloys are standard with correct profile tires. When looking through the history there was only one thing ever replaced which was a new petrol gauge (gas gauge) as the old one was sticking. I assume to replace the petrol gauge u need to remove all the needles. is there a manual way of resetting the needles? the speedo needle sits on the stopper when stationary. i am unable to find a reset procedure..just wondering if anyone knows or has had the same problem?
