      banana:
      My 1998 Honda Cr-V problems.

Back 6 months ago my timing belt broke.
I put a new one on, Replaced water pump and Idler pully tent too.

Started car up Then on test drive started rough idle. Check engine light came on with a P1382 Cylinder Position (CYP) Sensor No Signal. And Crank postion sensor P1362 .

Replaced the crank positon sensor . And car ran great for 4 months.

Last week car died while driving and no start.
Now i have Dash blink codes of …
      15. Ignition output signal,
      54. Crankshaft Fluctuation sensor error.
      61. Primary O2 sensor
But the OBDII scaner only picks up a code for P1382 ??.

I have spark on all 4 cyl.
I have fuel pressure of 40 psi.
I have 150+ psi on all 4 cyl.
Replaced distributor And pluged in a new Ingition switch also..

I have got it to run with starter fluid spray into the intake and holding the throttle open .
then dies when it warms up.

      Okay 5/4/2014 update.
I opened up the timing cover and checked And the timing belt is on time.
replaced the crank position sensor .
Replaced the Cam position Sensor And Primary O2 sensor.
And i am still getting codes for Cam and Crank sensors???>.

Has anyone here had the same problems ?.
      What should I try next?..
I can still get the motor to start with starter fluid If the motor is cold.

Wish I could be more helpful. My CRV is 1999 and is starting to be a very lot of work. At some point they just “get done” and it’s time to visit the crusher.

            Sorry to cause the frown.

My own 1999 CRV is giving me more work than pleasure this Spring, so I’ve been a bit frustrated by it.

But I should be more praiseworthy as it’s never been towed in 15 years or 350 Mm.

Did you check the connections to the camshaft position sensor and crankshaft sensor connectors? sometimes they can get corroded or damaged from engine heat. If you replaced the sensors And cleared the codes and if the codes are still there after resetting the PCM. And you know the connections are good and has New Sensors installed its possible there could be something wrong with the PCM Module.

Aftermarket distributors for Hondas are known problems and therefore I do not recommend their use. That said it seems you’re issues started after your timing belt broke. It’s not uncommon for the wire that goes to the crank sensor to come into contact with the alternator belt if it’s not fastened down when replacing the timing belt. If the wires are chafed it will not send a proper signal to the PCM and performance issues and crank sensor codes will result. I would therefore recommend you go over your work to make sure everything is where it should be and not damaged.

I would also suggest you check the mechanical timing again. If this is off, it can cause issues similar to what you describe.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Ok today I got the ECU computer from a junkyard in NY Via Ebay $95.00

I disconnected the battery And the plugged it in,,,,And car fired right up !!!.. banana:

I sure am hoping that was it And I won’t be seeing anymore problems ?.

It’s got all new sensors now And a new Dizzy too .

But I think that I will rebuild my old stock Dizzy and put that back in the car since So many
people have told me that stock oem Honda electronic is the only way to go.

Thank everybody here for the help !!… Wish me luck on the drive to work tomorrow ..Ha Ha!..
