What a great video! I hope this becomes one of the most popular things on the ETCG Channel. This is full of good-natured ETCG goodness! For some reason this video was very entertaining to watch. I feel it was a lot more personal. “Might get a coolant shower here.” or “Harbor Freight hose clamps are junk, man!” This feels like Eric has a shop again, where people bring you their issues and he just tackles them. As we can see in this video, it’s really just him and Brian helping him handle it. That being said, if it needs a new transmission, perhaps it wouldn’t be so wise. I don’t know the deal exactly that he has worked out with Barbara, but if that thing needs a new trans, you might have to send it down the road. With all the electrical issues it is having, though, it might just be an electrical issue that is diddling with the trans right now.

Eric, i LOVE fixing it forward.

Normally your videos go extremely well in my opinion, you encounter few problems. Whether due to editing, or luck, who knows. But when you broke that clamp and then dumped coolant all over yourself… WELL that is true to life my friend! My repairs seem to ALWAYS go like that!

Totally agree. spend the extra dollar on a stainless steel clamp! dollar store clamps, and cheap clamps less than 1 dollar i find completely not worth it! Why do they even make cheap clamps? I think selling near broken parts should be straight up illegal.

I love this new series. I am laughing my ass off, because i remember all the times i had had a junk car with 50 problems. Some quotes i particularly enjoyed and reflected on my personal experience:

“well that was way easy … we’re gonna get a bath”

          “nothing is happening.”

          “therefore, the motor is bad”

“[customer states] she’ll smack the top of the dash and it’ll get better”

thank you so much for this. You should have a tv show dude. JB weld that radiator, get a new transmission from local wrecker and get er out the door!
Do you have pick-n-pull near you? Huge chain, and they love free advertising! Maybe they will crate it up and deliver! http://www.picknpull.com/locations.aspx

I couldn’t be happier that this series is being so well received. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now. It’s taken a lot of preparation and work, but it’s finally come together. Don’t worry, I believe this series will be around for some time to come. There are plenty of needy people out there that need work on their vehicles and I have plenty of viewers looking for more videos like this. It’s win win for everyone.

This is probably the most brilliant idea you’ve come up with. I myself is in the boat of not being able to afford and not physically able to.

This is an amazing concept. I hope this works out for you and the people your trying to help. 93.33 WMMR a rock station here in Philly does a program similar to this for war vets, that station might get behind something like this. They do alot of charity work. I think the parent company is greater media.

I hope Fixing it forward works out.

Fixing it forward is great! Real life fixes and prioritizing what gets done and what repairs get left for the future.
