i have a 1998 buick lesabre limited. about a year ago the fuel pressure regulator went bad and the car caught fire we managed to get it put out before it caused any permanent damage. after a year of tinkering with no help (im a 15 year old high school student) i finaly got it all back in running shape and when we started it it ran perfect only one problem it seemed to stay at around 1600 rpm like it was warming up so i tought the thermostat might have gone bad and then it slowly crept up to around 2200 rpm and the check engine light came on so i scanned it and all it said was (idle circuit high idle) so i figured i would go to the junk yard and just pick up a throttle body with the maf and idle control sensors still on it so i pull off the throttle body and antifreeze starts dripping out of the bottom ports and im not shure if it is supposed to or not the port runs into the throttle body and just stops
any ideas about the idle and why there is coolant running in the port would be much appreciated

I believe coolant is supposed to run through the TB.

It may seem strange but you run coolant around the idle passage to keep it from icing up. It’s like that on every vehicle. Nothing to be concerned about.

BTW it probably would have been a goo idea to look for vacuum leaks and check your IAC valve with the problem you were having. Either one of those could have caused the same issue. Good luck and keep us posted.
