ok I replaced a/c on this car with a new system flushed every thing a/c will run but will not cool. if you can idle up the car to around 2500 rpm and it will cool a little so I replaced every thing once again and it does the same thing check for a blockage and it equalize in about 45 seconds any ideas.

possibly a compressor issue? its possible that the compressor is not pumping refrigerant correctly and bringing the revs up puts a little more load on it and it pumps a little better? as in you replaced the ac you don’t mean refrigerant you mean the entire system correct? whats the systems high side pressure like?

yes compressor twice dryer and expansion tube twice and flushed it twice doing the same thing and I used delfi compressor I was wondering if the temp sensor could cause this I have noticed that this morning it was cool but after the car gets around 200 nit don’t cool anymore.

coolant temp sensor? gosh its been so long since i have done AC work, its a possibility i guess but if the coolant temp sensor is reading proper coolant temperatures than possibly there is nothing wrong with the temp sensor itself, its pretty easy to test… and if it is bad won’t hurt too replace it anyway.

it was the ambient temp sensor but I appreciate the help. this was a first for me I am a patient man but this one has tested me. I never had a ambient temp sensor keep the a/c from cooling and not be turning off the compressor. but this one controlled the blend door so it was cooling but was not cooling in the car I just got a little mad and should have left alone for a few. thanks again for the help it is nice just to have some one to bounce and idea off of sometimes. I have found that in last 20 years this helps and sometimes it just makes me think if u know what I mean.

ooh! ambiant temp sensor! yes if ambiant temp is below a certian point it won’t turn ac on as a means of cooling someone just as a means of defrost… you already probably know this lol.

anyhow good you found the cause!

Yea, AC work is often more complicated that people suspect. Good find on your part. Thanks for keeping us updated and for using the ETCG forum.
