So heres the deal, i just had the check engine light turn on. It turns out it was the p0420 code, which i beleive is the cat converter. My question is where can i buy one ASAP because it makes a horrible rattle noise and well its my only car. Thank yall very much chicos. Will a magnaflow94104 fit my Honda Civic? :S

Any auto parts chain should carry them, or, probably for a significantly higher price, you can buy one from any Honda dealership.

One note of caution, if you are buying from a parts store, make certain that they sell you a “direct fit” catalytic converter. The sometimes sell “universal” fit pieces that require all sorts of modifications to use, the direct fit part is a bolt in copy of the original part.

So a universal one is fine but it requires more work?

You first should find out why the old one failed, so the same thing doesn’t happen to the new one. They usua;;y die from overheating, due to too rich a mixture, or a misfiring spark plug.

Look at your exhaust header. Most likely your cat on that model is right there. And that’s why it cracked. So you most likely need a header + cat. If it where me, I would relocate the cat to under the car, and put a nice header in. The cat + header is expensive, and most likely will break again. It was a poor design.

If you are going aftermarket. Magnaflow would be the choice.
You may still get the p0420. Also find out why the first one died.
