      had water pump 2 belts and a camshaft sensor put in it becaus my water pump went out and was leaking all my water never had any problems with it until after that was installed ….it is a 2.2 motor…..i think it could be the timing ..SOMEONE PLEASE HELP . its a 5 speed …… think it has something to do with inside the timing cover where th work was done..it just cuts out at 2000 rpm

        If the problem happened after the work was done I would bring it back to where the work was done. I’d be taking a close look at the crank sensor and it’s wiring as you need to remove that to change the timing belt.

          ok well is there any other ideas why it could be doing it.. i had someone install all that…

              Anytime you have a problem after work has been done you need to go back and check that work, it’s common sense really. I can’t even count the number of times there have been problems like you mention after a timing belt job and it turns out to be something with the crank sensor or it’s wiring. The most common is they don’t reattach the harness and it rubs against the alternator belt and cuts the wire.
