I was wondering which type of ngk spark plugs to get. The one the owners manual says to get is like 2.50 but I was wondering if the 10.00 spark plugs for my car are worth it?

I would use what the manual calls for. as for the more expensive plug, I don’t think you will see any difference in performance or gas mileage so why put
        them in.

Honda uses NGK or Denso plugs. They are pretty cheap and the best plugs for the car.

NGK ZFR5F-11 would suit your car well. The Denso equivalent part numner is W0133-1667704.

Stick with what the manufacturer tells you, don’t worry about getting Platinum +4 or iridium plugs unless your vehicle calls for them. I buy Bosch plugs when I’m working on a european import, but usually stick with the copper core “Bosch Super” which is the cheapest one and have never had an issue. I’ve had some issues running Bosch Platinums, but never the Supers. Some european imoports prefer NGK plugs too (namely the older generation Saabs), so NGK must be doing someting right.

OEM all the way. Go with what is stated in the manual. There is no need to change the type of plug or even try to upgrade C8-)

Ok what tip should I get? They have nickel tipped plugs and copper tipped plugs. Which one is better?

Purchase the spark plugs it states to use in your owners manual.

                    Ok. Will do that. Thanks!

And get the ones you do not have to gap.

Alot of vehicles still require copper plugs that will need to be gapped. My 04 Jeep still requires copper plugs C8-)

                        However, each to there own.

When i got my spark plugs for my old car i got ones that didn’t have to be gapped.

I hope my new car which uses iridium plugs, i hope i dont have to gap these when the times comes as i know nothing about doing that.

A very good tutorial on how to gap spark plugs. It’s from a good guy that does small engine repair, and he notes that it is a lawnmower spark plug, but there is NO difference.

You are only ‘supposed’ to gap copper plugs these days as the electrode on platinum and iridium plus are very delicate.

Each to there own though C8-)

I could not have said it better myself. I don’t recommend running anything but what the under hood sticker calls for (not Bosch) on Honda’s in fact they even list the part number for you if I remember correctly.

BTW if you use NGK or Nippon Denso plugs DON’T gap them as they come pregapped and do no require any gapping, in fact you’ll probably set it incorrectly if you do them yourself.

I know this is late but thank you! My car is running a lot more smoothly with the new ngk spark plugs in it.
