So for the last month an a half, i’ve been diagnosing and testing parts on my 1997 Honda Accord LX 2.2l 4 cyl SOHC with 155k miles.

HERES WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I TRY TO START IT
My Tachometer (RPM Gauge) Bounces from 0 – 2-2.5k, my main relay clicks RAPIDLY.

      It cranks wont start.
      Things done:

      1. Tested coil – Works fine
      2. Tested ICM – Bad – Replaced
      3. Battery tested – Bad – Replaced
      4. Cap $ Rotor – Replaced
      5. Tested Main Relay – Working
      6. Tested Fuel delivery – Good
      7. Fuel Pump – Primes

try spraying starter fluid to see if it runs. if it does its fuel
        related. if not spark.

I know i have fuel delivery, just to be sure i did do the starter fluid and nothing.

With spark, my coil is fine, replaced ICM with brand new one, cap and rotor are brand new, wires and a couple months old, plugs are about the same. I can test them again but i’m pretty sure its not spark.

Any ideas as to why my Tachometer bounces? Or why the main relay switches on in off making that clicking sound?

How did you check your coil?
It’s either a fuel problem or a spark problem. Pull one of the plugs out and with the wire connected to it lay it on the engine (so it’s grounded) and have a friend crank the engine. If it sparks then you know it’s a fuel problem.
            Check your fuses
use a screw driver or stethoscope to listen to the injectors
Try to get your hands on a fuel pressure gauge (just cause you have pressure doesn’t mean it’s the correct pressure)
If your spark plug does not fire, pull your distributor cap and have a friend turn the engine very briefly. Just enough that you can make sure the rotor is moving.
