      i just got a 1996 toyota corolla 5 speed with 140k mi and the only problem is it leaks fuel if i put more then half a tank in it i was wondering where should i look for the leak & when i’m putting gas in it the pump always shuts off every 0.02 of a gallon but if i pump slow it shuts off every 0.08 of a gallon and its a bit annoying and i want to know whats causing it and how to fix it

        What I would do is put gas in it to the point it would leak. Get it home and put
        it on jack stands. Add some fuel with a can to make it leak. Do a visual inspection
        of the area to find the leak.

          College man is spot on. I suspect the gas filler neck tube is rusted out. If that’s the case, the part is typically less than $100 and you could likely install it yourself.
