My drivers seat all the sudden does not want to lock in. When you move it, the seat just falls back and wont lock into the places it is supposed to. Is this an easy fix or has anyone ever had this problem? Any thing can help

Should be easy to look under the seat and see why the locking mechanism is not working. The fix may not be so easy depending on what problem you find. I’m assuming this is a manual seat. You may just have something that has gotten under the seat that got jammed into the system and needs to be removed.

Well you could remove the seat and inspect it. There should be about four screw holding it on and once you get the seat out try to find anything unusual.

yeah I can try that I just dont have any impact tools so It might be a little hard. BTW I mean it falls back like the adjustment to recline not to slide closer to the wheel. (if that makes sense)

Oh ok, I thought you meant the slide. Does the handle to recline feel looser or the same because the handle probably broke off inside.

It wont go down it is just stiff. It will only go down if the seat is almost fully reclined. And that is to the point where I couldn’t even reach the steering wheel. The lever on the left just gets stiff and wont let me lock it into place when put into higher places.

Probably something got stuck, there’s really no way you could check I think you should just bring it to an auto body shop.
