I’m wondering if anyone could post a link for a good video on changing out rear shocks on a late 90’s Subaru Legacy. Mine are leaking 🙁

I never swapped out the rear struts on that vehicle before, but it normally is not a complicated job. (That is, if you are replacing the struts AND springs as one assembly, and not JUST the struts.)

Normally, there are three bolts holding the top of the strut on. These are usually accessed through the trunk or back seat. Then there is 1 or 2 bolts connecting the strut to the rear spindle. Take those off and it should slide right out.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

that’s the easy part. The devil is in the details, i.e., jacking points, actual shock replacement details, etc. I was hoping to find a video. I wasn’t able to find one in Eric’s repertoire.
