It might be as simple as replacing the O-rings in the line fittings. There’s a steel clip that you can pull and then remove the cooler lines. From there, unscrew the fittings from the radiator and replace the O-rings. Put it all back together and verify the repair. You might want to put a thread sealer on the fittings before you screw them back in too.

Thank you. ill try that tomorrow. and also the lines are quite rusted so should it be a good idea to replace while im working on the car?

I can’t answer that question without looking at them. If it’s just surface rust and you’re not seeing any leaking from the lines themselves, just try the first fix suggested. If the rust is scaly/chunky and you can flake it off, then yeah, invest in some new lines. If you’re having any ambivalence about what to do next, get some brake kleen, spray down the wet spots, let dry, start the car and visually confirm your leak source.

Yeah. I would clean it up and verify where the leak is coming from before you do anything.

I verified it was the upper line leaking but im gonna replace both anyway just to be safe. looks like i have a new project to tackle this weekend.

Good luck and don’t forget to top off the fluids when you’ve got it all back together.

Idk if you fixed your trans leak yet but a problem I had was I was sold a radiator with a loose trans fluid fitting, so for a week i was leaking fluid everywhere until I was able to get it swapped for a new one. The fitting itself turned out to be broken underneath the locking nut. Not sure if you have the same type of fitting at your leak source but it’s just one of those little things that end up being worth double checking
