      Hello!
      I am fairly new to this forum,but it seems like a place to start since I saw that there are some really knowledgeable people here,judging by the posts.

      So here is the thing. The first snow in my country fell over night and in the morning it was beautiful and sunny,so I took my Ford KA to an abandoned airfield and went a little sliding,everything went well for a while,but then I hit a invisible pothole that hit the car REALLY hard,I mean so hard that the rear view mirror actually de-glued from the windshield and fell into my lap,I was surprised that the air-bags diden’t went off and then straight after that the engine cut-out. So after I regained control and stoped it,I waited for a minute or two and then tried to crank it. It cranked,but it diden’t start.

      Now I know there is a “magic Ford fuel cut off button” ,a relay that kicks off the power to the fuel pump if it detects a collision,BUT the previous owner has removed the switch ,connecting the wires directly,so it can’t be that.

      What could it be then? My guess is that the hit from the pothole loosen some electrical connection somewhere,what do you think?

      Any help will be appreciated.

        Wow, what bad luck.

        Most electrical connectors have a little ratchet latch so they can’t just wiggle out under most conditions.

        But after a really hard bump, your engine might have rocked pretty far in its mounts and pulled on a wire or two.

        So, check for spark. If no spark, check the wires going to the ignition coil. Maybe one of them got stretched or pulled out.

          Thank you for posting.

          Yes,that really ruined the rest of the day.

          But there is spark at the spark plugs. But I really hope it is just a wire pulled out. I mean what else could it be? Nothing is leaking,the engine is turning,there is spark at the spark plugs,fuel in the fuel tank.

          Can anyone maybe post what the worst case scenario may be?

            When you crank the engine.Is the security light blinking
            or does it go out?

              Security light? The car has no alarm,nor central locking. Or are you talking about the fake alarm light in the dash clock?

                  When you turn the key to “run” can you hear the fuel pump whine?

                    check all your relays and fuses. They may have come loose
                    from the bump.

                      The problem is solved.

                      Turns out the previous owner gave me misinformation. He told me that he removed “a buton”,it was the immobilizer buton,not the fuel cut-off switch. So I found the switch on the passenger side foot well,pushed it in,and it worked as is should. 🙂
