hmmm according too this website i am reading on you will need a good transmission code scanner to see what is up with this transmission, i have no idea if this has the same transmission as this truck but its that way for a lot of transmissions, most basic scan tools will only read very basic Transmission PCM codes.

are you using a transmission capable scanner or is it more of your code reader?

        here is the website.

I use auto enginuity scan toll and it will pull codes on anything I have ever hooked up to if they are there. I have a friend with a trans shop with programs just for this maybe I will use his scanner because his shop is getting 85 an hour and I am not paying that.

Normally if it’s an electronic problem it will set a code. Since you don’t have any, or you can’t pull the codes, then perhaps it’s a mechanical issue. It’s usually more than one solenoid that controls shifting. If you don’t have any gears then it’s not likely every solenoid went out. That said, since shifting manually you can get it to shift, that would indicate that the gears themselves are likely good. Your problem seems to be one of control which could be in the valve body or in the solenoids as you suggest. I suppose it could also be a pressure problem but it’s hard to say. More info here.
