I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L that needs all tie rod ends replaced,a track bar,and a steering stabilizer. I’ve got a couple questions about whether I’ll need to jack it up and what I’ll need to support.

So question one is,will I even need to jack it up in order to replace all this stuff? I can get to it all with the jeep on the ground no problem, but I don’t know if the suspension needs to be decompressed in order to loosen stuff.

If you say “yes” to my first question, then where can I jack it up on and support it? I don’t have an owners manual for this. I saw frame rails while underneath it,so I assume I could put stands there. Can anybody confirm this?

My next question is,when I remove the track bar, will I need to support the axle while I take the track bar off?

Sorry for the amateur questions, but this is my second car,and I’ve never done suspension work. I’d prefer to pay someone to do it,but my trusted mechanic needs too much for me to afford.
