Hey guys,
I have a 1996 Acura Integra LS, My car has been non operational for a while and everything i do doesn’t seem to solve my problem. The car use to lose power while driving with no warning and then instantly regain the power and drive. A few days go by and it still loses power while driving but this time it would just die and not start up, until 30 min later. I figured it had to do something with the distributor but i don’t have the money to buy a new one so I Bought a new Ignitor, coil, cap, and rotor. This solved my car’s losing power problem but now my check engine light is on and the tach jumps all around while driving and sometimes doesn’t read at all but i have no loss of power.1) Is it ok to drive with the tach doing this?
2) Do i need to just replace the whole distributor?
3) can there just be a possible wire shorting out in the distributor?
4) Is it the distributor at all?
