Hello, i have a 1995 Honda accord lx with a 2.2 . It started acting weird a few months ago. It wouldn’t start on any slant but would turn over. I would put it in neutral and let it role to level ground then turn the key and it would start. Never stalling or running hard while running. Then’ not long after when i would start it and let it warm, as soon as it would warm and the rpm would drop naturally and it would stall. Then finally, it wouldn’t start anymore. It would turn over but not start. I have checked the ignition system as best as i could with little money and have none coming in….. I have changed the spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor button. I also purchased a sort of spark test. it hooks into the spark wires and the other end hooks to the spark plug. Blinking indicates a fuel system problem and solid indicates an ignition problem. You turn the key to start the engine and it will either blink or stay lit. When i ran it on the number one cylinder the bulb blinked. Now, i do not have the tools to test fuel pressure or to see if i am getting the correct voltage to the fuel pump. But, i can hear the fuel pump…..I watched one of Eric’s videos on youtube on the fuel pump relay. I soldered the relay and the pump sound sounded stronger. I don’t believe this was the issue in the first place but i had the things to do it and i wasn’t taking chances. I really hope its not the pump…The engine had a good turn over crank sound in the beginning after it wouldn’t start but now its more of a whine. I dont know if that is from trying to start it to much or if it isnt getting any fuel. I have not checked the fuel filter though. Could that be something? Please help me:( Lord willing It is something good that comes back to me. I really need all of your help….

@MikeM I was able to get the new filter on. The old filter was bent both at the top and at the bottom where it it is 19 mm. I don’t know if the person who did it last bent it on purpose or what…the ends were bent both in the same direction. I installed the new filter after about 2 days of trying. lol who knew you needed crows feet to get it done….I tried other ways but it wasn’t working so i had to give in and buy them. Now, i am unable to figure out why the bottom wont quit spraying fuel out when i turn the key to send fuel to the filter. I turning the bottom bolt straight. I mean its not crooked or anything. But as its tight all the way it keeps spraying. It doesn’t keep spraying. Just when i activate the fuel pump. I don’t know what else to do…. 🙁 Oh, and before i forget….Thank you for answering me. It helped me make the decision to buy the filter….
