            sounds like its in the cluster try to unplug the cars speed sensor and see if the ticking goes awayC8-)

              To be honest that’s right around the time they switched to an electronic speedo so it’s possible it has the old cable set up,it’s easy enough to check just look at the back of the transmission toward the firewall, if you see a large cable coming out of it terminating at the firewall on the drivers side then it’s possible you have an issue with the speedo cable or more likely a problem inside the cluster itself, it’s not uncommon really, if you have an electronic speed sensor I’m not sure what to tell you without hearing the noise for myself.

                LOL, I figured it out. It doesn’t have a speedo cable. The trip odometer was hanging up, it was almost at 999 and it was hanging. I pushed the reset stalk and it stopped clicking, it’s turning smoothly for now.
