Hi guys,
As title states my fuel cap won’t release when the lever Is pulled, the lever has to be held In place while the lid Is opened manually, I’ve watched a couple videos about fixes on a Civic and a later model Accord but have found nothing for my specific model. When I check the pin action with the lid open and the lever being manipulated It works fine. I have not pulled everything apart to check the Inner workings of the pin housing or the lever assembly holder/mount.
Does anyone have personal experience In fixing this issue on this model of Accord? Or a model with the same assemblies? This Is one of two issues I need to fix before selling my car. I would appreciate greatly any help offered. 🙂

Has the fuel door ever been taken off? If so, it might’ve been put back on crooked enough to where the latch extends too far into the pin housing for it to be released without extra force
