Hello, I recently bought a Honda Accord 1995 4 cyl 2.2L SOHC and had issues with the pump and spark. I replaced the fuel pump and distributor and now the car ran but the idle was rough. I noticed there was oil in one of the spark plugs so i changed the valve cover gasket kit. I ran the same. The issue I am having with this vehicle is that the idle is rough and when I get to stop lights or signs, the engine would stall sometimes due to low rpm, I have the distributor at highest rpm timing so it doesn’t stall every stop. Also, when I accelerate from a stop, the gas is unresponsive for a split second then it goes, and sometimes during acceleration, the car wouldn’t accelerate anymore, it would stop at 2000 rpm even with the gas pedal to the floor. At the moment I had my car towed home because as I merged into the freeway, the car wouldn’t accelerate at all, and I was driving at 30 mph, I had to pull over, I stopped, and tried accelerating from a full stop, but the same would happen, I ended up barely being able to move the car. After exiting the freeway at 5mph, I pulled over, the car stalled on a steep hill, not really that steep. The car now will crank and start if I hold the gas pedal down, if I let it go slowly, it will maybe not shut off and will idle nice and smoothly. Accelerating is slow in parking gear. Changing gear to drive will cause the engine to not have any strength and will stall instantly after accelerating. I’m not sure at all what it could be if I changed the fuel pump, distributor, and somewhat cleaned the fuel control solenoid and carburator flap and air valve on carburator with carburator cleaner. Please help!!!
