Ok, about a year ago give or take a few months i replaced the fuel pump on my car. It is a name brand racing fuel pump…cant quite remember the name though…sorry. Anyway, I used dielectric grease in the pumps electric connector and i believe the grease is causing the pump issues. whatever is happening broke the solder on the main relay several times and it shot the pump fuse one time. If i drive an hour distance and stop it wont start for a while. But if i keep driving and don’t stop i can go as long as i like and it wont quit on me. All i get from the pump is some slight hesitating on long distance trips…Its quite boggling to me…I just don’t know if dielectric grease can block correct electric flow from the main relay to the pump or if the pump is the culprit..After all is said and done should i use a conductive grease rather than dielectric? ANY HELP will be GREATLY appreciated…GREATLY!!!
