I recently got a 1995 honda accord ex. I have a couple issues. First the idle is verry low the tach shows almost zero ive tried to adjust the idle like it says in the manual but it still does the same thing. Second the entire right side of the cluster doesnt work ie. Speedo trip and gas. There is no cel or other dummy lights on. I have changed the cluster 3 times and still the same problem i even changed the ecu because the one in it was the wrong one for this motor its the f22b1 vtec motor and the ecu that was in it was for the non vtec motor.

You need to set base idle. Is the tach accurate? See if this link helps.

Im sure its accurate cause ive tried 3 different clusters and they all do the same thing. It will drive like normal but it just idles low. My main concern is the spedo and mileage problem like i said its not throwing any codes or anything. I figured out the problem with the fuel gauge already and it works now i can try and upload a video of what its doing
If the idle is electronically controlled, the value (RPM) is irrelevant. As long as it’s idling smoothly the engine speed doesn’t matter.
Also the proper way to verify the tach’s accuracy would be to compare it to the ECU data. If the output to the gauges is incorrect, any gauge attached to it would show the same erroneous reading.
