Good Morning. I have an issue with my truck. I have replaced the battery and the alternator in this truck. The voltage meter in the truck use to read at 14 when the truck was running. Now, the meter will start at 14 (when the truck is started) then move down from 10 to maybe 12. I do not understand why this is occurring. I do have a plow assembly attached and I am worried that what ever is wrong will only get worse this winter. Can you please help me?

First thing to check are:
1. Battery condition; 12.4-12.6VDC with the vehicle off and/or a load test
2. Battery connections; clean and tight
4. Battery terminals; wire free of oxidation and connections tight
4. Belt; after replacing the alternator did the belt get adjusted to prevent slipping?
5. Volt meter accuracy if condition occurs after items 1-4 verified; try using a voltage meter that plugs into the power port to compare against the voltage meter. Thank You Dan. I have a tensioner that helps keep the belt from slipping. I am going to check and tighten battery connections. Thank you again.
