I am having problems with the AC on my 1995 F150. It seems to be fully charged, it won’t accept any freon. The hose going from the compressor to the (evap or condensor) in the front of the truck gets too hot to even touch. Today while trying to charge the system, the compressor was shutting off and on then stopped. Any help on this would be great, I have spent $1000 each of the last 2 summers at a mechanic to fix it, and I really need to fix this correctly on my own this time.

Have you checked for any clogs or air pockets in the system?

You say it won’t accept any freon? Either you have a blockage or you are overcharhed

I would go with an excessive overcharged system. I would take it to a reputable shop have them pull a vac. on the system to draw out all refridgerant (spl?) and recharge the system and check for leaks. It is frustrating.
