Need help. When I’m driving my truck in temperatures about 65 degrees or below it seems to never get up to normal operating temperature. Conversely whenever I’m driving in 65 degrees or heigher (give or take a few) it seems to run OVER operating temperature. I have tried bleeding the cooling system but still would like some advice. Thanks

So update. Flushed the cooling system out with that peak kit. A lot of shiny metallic stuff came out along with some nasty crud. I’m assuming this metallic crap and crud could be the impellar of the water pump. Might I also add the truck sat for about 3 years prior to about 5 months ago.
If the radiator and heater core show no signs of leaking, chances are better than even money your water pump is on its last leg.
I think you said the water pump bearing is a little wobbly ? That right there , I would replace it & then see if the problem persists .
While I had the coolant drained , I would replace the thermostat / gasket ( they are cheap ) And maybe the temp sending unit .
As has been suggested , maybe just install an aftermarket gauge & sender .
Depending on the car , a lower temp thermostat may cause the electronics to run the engine richer than normal . The heater may not perform as well , either .
We had a car that the gauge never went to normal & the heater under performed . Replaced the tstat with original temp raring . Heater / defrost worked much better , temp gauge came up to normal and it seemed to get better gas mileage .
