ok so besides the rust that builds up in this cars body, i have an issue, if i leave my caravan over night w/o turning on when i go in the morning (weather its hot outside or not) i try to turn on the car but it wont start. it cranks battery is good just got a new one last month she is strong, what happens is that i key the car it soulds like she started but only for like 1 second then it dies, i try it again same thing happens as i keep going it eventually stays on longer until she holds on, the revs go up and down from 400~1500 or so at times she will die too doing that but i start it right up and shes fine until she stablizses at around 800rpm after that i can go anywere i have a check engine light on,i go drive it around 5 miles turn it off go do what i wanted to do get back in starts up right up no problems at all but the more i let it get cold (the engine) the more she kinda struggles to start back up any help please

oh and she is a automatic 3.0L engine with about 150k miles on her

It sounds to me like the idle air control valve has gone out. My old ’94 Suburban did the same thing.

Did you have the check engine code read?

Even without a scan tool you can check the basics and what I would suggest starting with is a fuel pressure test. If the fuel pressure is low then then engine may exhibit the symptoms you describe. This video is on a different vehicle but it does show the basics of checking fuel pressure.

I’m not joking at all. Sell it. The 3.0 is a mitsubishi motor and trans and they are junk. I have worked on several of these and they seem to completely fall apart all at once.

Be fore warned, if you start having timing problems or fuel injector issues just cut your losses. My mom dumped about $1800 bucks into hers before she finally listened to me and her mechanic.

You can also use this method to get the codes, no scan tool needed. Probably a good idea before you go too far.
