      I have a 1995 buick lesabre, with the 3800. i do not get any air out of my heating vents, well there is a little but my laptop fan moves more air than what comes out. so pretty much nothing at defrost, front, or foot. The blower motor is working along with the speed controls, and i can hear the dampers switching in the dash and have verified vacuum at the damper control module. This car does not have a cabin filter. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks 🙂

        Are you getting plenty of air through the console vents if in AC or vent mode? If not, check on the firewall side of the engine for a vacuum line that runs underneath the auxiliary fuse panel. It also runs behind the plenum on the firewall side of the engine. Sometimes this line will degrade over time and collapse on themselves when under vacuum. The symptoms can show up suddenly, even though a hose has degraded over time. While you may get getting some vacuum at the damper controls, you may not be getting enough. Just an idea. Best of luck.

          I’m not getting any air out of any of the vents, no-matter what mode the control panel is set too (vent, ac, defrost, bi-level). I did replace one vacuum line, but ill check the other one under the fuse panel tomorrow and post an update. thanks.

            It sounds like the vacuum line I described that’s causing this. Best of luck with it…

              All vacuum lines are intact, i have also verified that all the dampers are receiving vacuum when commanded. Its like the air intake for the blower is completely plugged, but theirs no filter!

                Did you get this sorted out? It’s a bit of a mystery to me. The vacuum hose I mentioned is pictured below. On my 3800 it had dry rotted. Actually, it collapsed on itself only when the blower motor turned on. It was summer in the Southeast. I was quite motivated to ring the problem… I had the exact same symptoms you described. I’d be curious to know what you find for future reference. Good luck… I backed away with one of the shots so you could see it’s orientation in relation to accumulator/ alternator, etc.,

                  I just got it figured out today, it was the craziest thing.. I replaced my blower motor when i got the car a few months back, the cars previous blower was dead as a rock. so i had never seen the vents work right. The remanufactured blower motor was assembled incorrectly and the polarity was reversed at the connector, thus running the blower in reverse. this did move some air, but barley, when i swapped the pins in the connector the vents and defroster blew just like down town 🙂

                    Lol…well, none of us could have guessed that. Nice find, glad you got all this sorted out. That’s surprising given the factory connector was reversed. I guess if the wires had been spliced,that would have been possible.
