      Hello,
1994 Acura vigor, my headlights are dim with new bulbs. What could be causing this?
      Thank you

I would check the Alternator, maybe it isn’t charging,
also check the wires that go to the headlight.. maybe some isolation is off and it’s shorting with the body of the car.. or a loose and corroded contacts.

If you don’t have a digital volt meter you should invest in one. Harbor Freight has one for FREE on occasion if you make an additional purchase of any amount. Measure the voltage at your battery terminals and verify that it is at least 13.7 VDC with the engine running. Then shut off the engine and measure the battery voltage again. It should remain at nearly 13 VDC. If the running voltage is too low then the alternator is most likely bad. If the charge voltage is good but the battery voltage drops suddenly after the engine is stopped (to around 12 VDC or less), the battery is most likely bad.

If you are near one of the chain auto parts stores, they will test both battery and alternator for you for free.
