Hello,
when i was 13 years old my brother used to have a 1994 celica gt… I loved that car,until he traded it for a ford focus back in 2001….Now im 24 years old. And i would love to have that car back. I’ve been working and saving money and i have 7,500 to spend on a car.
I can afford a newer car,but i love those celicas so much that im wiling to pay 3,000 for the car,and spend 4,500 on it. It must be a GT and manual transmission. ( 5S-FE engine )
I currently drive a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse gt. But i really want the celica.Are those car reliable for being more than 13+ years old? Suggestions?

Those cars are VERY reliable. I mean, of course it all depends how the previous owner(s) have treated and maintained the vehicle, but those cars are built to last. They’re all over the place in Vancouver, even the older late 80’s and early 90’s models.
I had a 93 Toyota Corolla and I couldn’t make that thing quit running! Had a hole in the manifold and sounded like an airplane but it was very dependable. My son eventually wrecked it about 2006. Had somewhere over 200,000 miles on it but was still mechanically sound. Dang, after writing this, I feel the need to go chew out my son for wrecking that great car, LoL.
5S-FE …. You keep oil in it it’s bullet proof and a non interference motor just when you do a timing belt replace your oil pump o ring your water pump cam seals and crank seal they usually do it as a kit for $180 if it’s leaking oil out the bottom of the block pulley side your inner oil pump gasket has gone common problem but reliable
