The drivers side door on my ’93 TC sags and is difficult to close. The passenger side door is almost as bad. I had this same problem on my Chevy Suburban, and fixed it by cutting out the old hinge pins, removing the old hinge pin bushings, and installing new ones from pin/bushing kits I bought from an online aftermarket parts vendor. I need to do the same thing on my Lincoln, but I cannot find the replacement upper door hinge pin kits anywhere. I do have the replacement lower hinge pins and bushings. But to really fix this right so it will last I want to replace both the upper and lower hinge pins and bushings on both doors. I have heard that hinge pins from the F150 pickup will work for the uppers on my Town Car, but I have not been able to find out what year F150 applies.

Does anyone know where I can get the proper hinge pin and bushing kits for the *upper* hinges for my ’93 Lincoln Town Car?

You got me on this one, we need a parts person to weigh in on this. I’ll be following this thread to see what the verdict is because I’m curious myself. Good luck.

Update, I was able to find this link that showed a ‘universal’ pin that worked.

I’ll try to post video of the job. That is assuming I can get my son the videographer to shoot.

I am glad to report that the hinge repair using the kit from Totalauto was a success. My son actually did it because I kept not finding the time, and he had never done a hinge pin/bushing replacement before. (I had done exactly one, and that was on my ’94 Suburban.) Next up, the same procedure on my ’95 LIncoln Town Car.
