ive been driving a milk truck with a transmission that continues to pop out of gear it isnt like just a gentle slide right out its an extreme whip that rocks the whole truck and super loud. it only goes like 40-50 mph on i 95. In case your wondering im a milkman. But does anyone know whats wrong with my worktruck? its a international 4900 with a 6 plus transmission? or how to put it out of its misery? Its also got a new clutch in it. Do you know anything about it?

I see your request. If you’d like a question answered on the live show, you should post it to the Google+ event the next time I do one of those which would be on April 9. As for making a video. Not likely. I don’t really work on trucks of that type and in order for me to make a video on something I need the same vehicle with the same issue to come in and time to shoot the video.

That said, it sounds like an internal transmission problem. That means that no matter what, the transmission needs to come out and disassembled for inspection. At that time you would be able to see what parts failed and replace them if they are replaceable parts.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks for the response but I have a question to ask, when you get your commercial truck as in this one i’m talking about, do they take it for a test drive? also do they inspect the transmission as well? Thanks and I understand how you would’nt be able to make a single video which is fine. But i’ll try to remember next LIVE video chat you have!! Thanks bud, keep up the great work and vids!!!

Nice avatar brian98redskins…. I lived in D.C. for about 10 years and been to FedEx Field a few times… of course, this was the pre-RG3 when they sucked, but I stood by the skins. However, it is during this time when the skins had some really good players, such as: Champ Bailey, Derrell Green, Clinton Portis, Stephen Davis, Brian Orakpo, Deion Sanders, and Brian McNabb. :side:

well… i’ll tell ya’, when RGIII came back last season, i thought the skins would go undefeated… well, that didn’t turn out the way that i expected. in fact, they sucked. hopefully, with these recent acquisitions the skins will be better off this year.

Just in case anybodies been wondering what’s been up with this truck. Yeah, well the engine finally blew. Dairy got a brand new engine and transmission for it. I’ve been switched through a few trucks for the past 6-7 monthes since then. They just finished replacing the steel floors in the back and redid the interior. Just waiting on the repaint and rear sliding door then she’ll be mine again. Don’t know what engine they put in, I think either a rebuild DT466 or a Cummins or a New DT466. I was in the truck a few days ago and was messin around with the stick to see if it’s got a new tranny, it feels like a small 5 or 6 speed tranny instead of a 8 speed. Less shifting for me, less sciatic nerve pain. Cheers
