Well I have a 1993 ford escort pony. When I am stopped and try and put car in reverse, I push in the clutch and slide shifter back to reverse gear and it will not drop in gear. I have to pump the clutch numerouse time’s to get reverse. And latley its been getting tougher to put in any gear. I am leaning towards slave cylinder but any other suggestions. Also when driving I turn on heat and it will blow hot air then it will blow cold than hot then cold and so on. What could that be

I just checked the linkage off of pedal and there is fluid on the rod and seaping thru the gromet. So once again you got the one right on. As for the heat issue everything hot and circulating.
Excellent. Did you bleed the cooling system first? If not you might want to try that first but if you have and both hoses are hot to the touch then you have flow through the heater core so it’s likely to be a problem with the blend door in the HVAC, see if you can get your hands on a service manual for your vehicle to see how to test and verify that part.
